to the

2006 Pacific Seacraft Rendezvous in Port Townsend Washington

August 25, 26 and 27, 2006

Please join us for this almost annual gathering to meet old friends and make new ones.  You’re welcome to attend whether you bring your boat or not. This event promises to fuel those cruising feelings, give you an opportunity to swap yarns and trade boat project ideas and  test your sailing prowl ness & knowledge.

Check out our Special Guests

We are extremely pleased to have Jan and Kathy Walling attend.  Jan and Kathy took an 18 month hiatus and cruised to Mexico on there Pacific Seacraft 37 ‘Adelante’.    They will be sharing their adventure and particularly address what the cruising seminars forgot to tell you or left out.  This should arouse some good audience participation.  They also used Dockwise to ship their boat back to the Northwest, so those who have wondered about that can ask about their experience.

We are extremely pleased to have Duane Barr attend.   Duane took his Pacific Seacraft 34 ‘Dances with Wind’ to Alaska last summer and will share his special experiences with us.

We are extremely pleased to have Scott McBeath the manager of the Rigging department at West Marine to talk about your rig, tuning and other rigging issues.  Scott has 14 years of rigging experience and a lifelong sailor.

We are also extremely pleased to have Carol Hasse of Pt Townsend Sails share with us her vast knowledge of cruising sails, sail trim and sail handling.  Her program will be held at the Pt Townsend Sail Loft.

The weekend will begin on Friday, with check-in starting at noon.  The afternoon will be informal, visiting other boats, with the Rigging Seminar at 4:00.

Friday evening will be our traditional potluck BBQ, to get everyone acquainted.  Salad, bread and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, as well as a BBQ grill.  You bring something to BBQ.  Also, bring a dessert or side dish to share.   The evening presentation will be by Jan & Kathy.

Saturday  will start with  a presentation of  cruising sails, sail trim and handling by Carol Hasse at her Port Townsend Sails sailloft, in the morning, followed by the “BIG” fun race in the afternoon.

Saturday evening will be the award banquet.  Eric & Kim Stover will once again cater dinner.  You won’t go away hungry.  Awards will follow dinner.  Duane’s  presentation will be after the awards.

We have lots of prizes donated from the boating community to be given out.    We sincerely appreciate all the support we receive from all the marine business’ that contribute to this event.
