You're Invited to
the
Year 2005 Pacific Seacraft
Rendezvous in Oak Harbor Washington
August 26, 27 and 28, 2005
Please join us for this almost annual gathering
to meet old friends and make new ones. You're welcome to attend whether
you bring your boat or not. This event promises to fuel those cruising
feelings, give you an opportunity to swap yarns and trade boat project
ideas and test your sailing prowl ness & knowledge.
Check out our Special Guests
We are extremely pleased to have Bill & Lynn
Crealock as guests. Both Bill and Lynn are experienced cruisers
and will be on hand the whole weekend to visit with us all. On Saturday
morning Bill will chat about boat design, the new Pacific Seacraft 366
and anything else you would like to ask him.
We are extremely pleased to have John Hicks
& Mary McCollum attend. They will be sharing a part of their world
cruise - circumnavigating New Zealand on Friday evening. Each started
cruising separately - John on his Pacific Seacraft 34 and Mary on her
Dana 24. They met up in New Zealand - Mary moved aboard the 34, John
sailed the Dana back to Seattle and flew back to NZ, where they continued
cruising to Australia, South Africa and up to the Caribbean.
We are extremely pleased to have Mel & Barbara
Davidson attend. From Bellingham they sailed to Mexico, through
the Panama Canal to the East Coast. Then took their Pacific Seacraft
34 to Cuba - and returned without loosing their boat. They will share
with us their Cuban Adventure on Saturday evening.
While we hope it never ever happens - we may
be in a situation that we must be rescued or taken off the boat while
cruising. Lt. Todd Vorencamp, who owns a Dana, is on the Navy
Search & Rescue team at the Whidbey Naval Base. His team will demonstrate
a sea rescue and let us know how to prepare for such a rescue should
we ever have to experience this event. This should be interesting and
informative and will happen Friday at 4:00.
The weekend will begin on Friday, with
check-in starting at noon. The afternoon will be informal, visiting
other boats, with the Search & Rescue demonstration at 4:00.
Friday evening will be our traditional
potluck BBQ, to get everyone acquainted. Salad, bread and non-alcoholic
beverages will be provided, as well as a BBQ grill. You bring something
to BBQ. Also, bring a dessert or side dish to share. The evening presentation
will be by John & Mary.
Saturday will start with Bill Crealock
in the morning, followed by the "BIG" fun race in the afternoon.
Saturday evening will be the award banquet.
Eric & Kim Stover will once again cater dinner. You won't go away hungry.
Awards will follow dinner. Mel & Barbara's presentation will be after
the awards.
We have lots of prizes donated from the boating
community to be given out. We sincerely appreciate all the support
we receive from all the marine business' that contribute to this event.
See you there!
