The
Ericson 380 is comprised of a blend of traditional and modern design
elements. Her moderate overhangs and freeboard, as well as her low
cabin trunk, are rooted in tradition. Her rounded sections, fin keel,
and balanced spade rudder are up to date, aiding her spirited performance.
This particular blend of design elements continues to satisfy the
preferences of many. |
| Visually,
the overhangs, strong sheerline, low tapering cabin trunk, and reasonably
proportioned transom make for a unique appearance that is easily recognized
throughout the sailing community. This particular, perhaps friendlier,
look is preferred by many over the more aggressive appearance of many
of today's vertically ended freeboard designs. |
