We here at Seacraft have nicknamed the Gozzard as the "Transformer" because the interior transforms into different configurations. For example, the forward berth converts from a large open salon during the day, and into a private stateroom at night. See photos.
This is a suburb example of the Gozzard 36, which compares with other brands 40 footers.

A 1982 Pacific Seacraft 27' 'ORION'. A practical cruising sailboat of robust construction and splendid design. There has been a lot of work that went into completing this yacht. It started out as a Atkins Design with some changes done by Naval Architect Craig A. Gording of Friday Harbor. The builder Tom Brandt was the owner shipwright who finished this boat. The hull and deck were built by Ken Riply & Company in Marysville with hull completion done in 1992. The Model was called Seawing 43.
The boat was then stored for two years and then moved into a new building where the shipwrights finished it to ABYC Standards. In June of 2002 she was launched into the water in Tacoma Washington.
The owner/builder is a Master Shipwright. At the time he was working on the boat, he worked for the US Navy in Composites on ships and subs. He had planned to sail the boat after he retired. He was injured on a job and plans then changed and the boat was sold to currant owner. This boat was built to very high standards that seldom one see .

A rare work of art and piece of sailing history, Belle was built in 1999 at the renowned boatyard of Devlin Designing Boat Builders to the design of the late Phil Bolger. A boat that to have built again at his yard, would cost well over $120,000! This was the only Bolger designed St. Valery Schooner that was ever built.
