We here at Seacraft have nicknamed the Gozzard as the "Transformer" because the interior transforms into different configurations.  For example, the forward berth converts from a large open salon during the day, and into a private stateroom at night.   See photos.

This is a suburb example of the Gozzard 36, which compares with other brands 40 footers.

A 1982 Pacific Seacraft 27' 'ORION'. A practical cruising sailboat of robust construction and splendid design. This isa cruising boat and, as such, must be able to provide comfortable off-shore passages for its crew. It must be sea kindly, well balanced under sail and capable of providing the kind of stability necessary for comfortable cruising. The performance of the 'ORION" is, in a word, sensational. The benefits of a modern full-keel with cut-away fore foot, wineglass sections and well distributed beam result in the 'ORION''s speed, responsiveness, and exceptional balance.

The owner/builder is a Master Shipwright. At the time he was working on the boat, he worked for the US Navy in Composites on ships and subs. He had planned to sail the boat after he retired.  He was injured on a job and plans then changed and the boat was sold to currant owner. As is typical with Sharpies, Belle is shoal draft and water ballasted.  The epoxy/wood composite construction (stitch and glue) gives Belle the beauty and charm of a wooden boat with the durability and low maintenance of fiberglass.
